Mahr Elder DDS MD

Mahr Elder, DDS, MD, is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon working out of North California. He is known throughout the local community as a provider of the best solutions when it comes to oral pathology, facial trauma and fracture services, implantology, and working with patients that have a fear or phobia of dental services. Dr. Elder works to combat those fears and gives top-quality care (while leveraging only the highest quality anesthesia solutions). He is known as a consummate professional as well as a very caring individual.

Dr. Elder began his dental career at the University of the Pacific (San Francisco) then went on to get his medical degree from Wayne State University (Detroit). He served his residency at the University of Detroit Henry Ford Hospital, where he perfected the oral surgery skills that he continues to use today to help people rebuild their smile and oral health.

Mahr Elder established his practices in the San Francisco Bay Area community after leaving the University of Detroit Henry Ford Hospital at the conclusion of his residency. Today, thanks in large to the work he has done through the Vallejo Oral Surgery Center, he’s been able to establish the Elder Group throughout Northern California while also continuing a working association and affiliation with area hospitals that include Kaiser Hospital and Novato Community Hospital.

Dedicated to making sure that he improves the local community as much as possible, Dr. Elder has been consistently recognized as a major contributor to youth services in Northern California. He has partnered with the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation and has also provided relief, aid, and volunteer work abroad throughout a number of different developing nations.

Susan Snyder, DDS, is an experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon who offers outstanding patient care and surgeries at Pinole Oral Surgery, in Pinole, California. She has significant training and experience in treating alignment issues, irregular palates, and wisdom teeth. She also offers expert jaw and facial reconstructive surgery. 

Dr. Snyder completed her doctorate of dental surgery at Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine. She served both her internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Kentucky. 

Dr. Snyder is an attentive surgeon who always puts her patients needs first. Whenever possible, she offers same-day emergency care services to patients who have had teeth knocked out or broken their jaw or other facial bone.
